Today I took a notion to try switching some components around to see if I could get some better sound out of my system, hoping that some better sound might do something to get me more interested in music again. Lately I just seem to be ignoring it.
While I was moving componants around, an unforseen jerk on a wire pulled my mixer off it's shelf, which began a domino effect that toppled the entire system, and I turned around just in time to see my thousand dollar super computer sliding off the desk and crashing to the floor.
Thus I am now without a computer to run Second Life on. There is only the father's el cheapo computer, which will be sufficiant for E-mail and PayPal stuff. But otherwise, don't expect to be seeing much of me next year - at least until such time as this situation gets sorted out.
What this will mean for Spectral Shadows I don't know. It might actually be good for it. I have an old computer that is good for word processing. And I can upload from the father's computer. So we will see if beeing cut off from my internet obsessions improves my inclination to write.
Interestingly, it is like 14 years to the day since I ordered my first computer from Gateway and began my internet adventures. So, if this should be the end, it would seem to be the decission of the cosmic forces.
Hopefully, whether this is just a forced vacation or a permanent change of lifestyle, something good will come out of it.
